Laptop or desktop?

I was thinking of getting a new desktop since ,y old one crashed a while ago. The main reason I want a desktop instead of a laptop is the cost as well as the possibility of getting my old files back from my old hard disk. Laptops tend to get expensive when the screen and processing power gets bigger.

I’ve been scouring the internet for possible laptops that would fit my budget and needs. I don’t need a lot of power like gamers and video-editors need, however I do need a laptop than can handle the latest version of Photoshop as well as run several programs at the same time like FTP, Photoshop/Paint Tool SAI, Chrome/FireFox, Thunderbird and Skype. Gibbs.

I love NCIS. Even though we usually get reruns of the old episodes on FOX TV, I still love watching it every time I catch it on. My ultimate crush is Gibbs and whenever I think of a fanfic scene, he’s the character I go for. :D Tony and Tim are handsome as well, but Gibbs is just my dream guy. Some of my married friends were talking about ideas regarding good christmas gifts for husbands and after checking out Red Envelop, I thought the whiskey lover’s set would be a nice gift for Gibbs.

I want a new iPod Touch 4.

My Mom and I went to visit CDRking earlier today to get an ipod charger. My desktop computer where I usually charge my ipod using a USB cable crashed so I had no other way of charging it when Dad brought the netbook with him. I only spent around Php 200 for it, if I had more money, I would’ve bought from the Apple store instead. :)

Since my 32gb iPod Touch 3Gs is already quite old, I’m hoping to get myself either a white 32gb iPod Touch 4 or an iPhone 4. The iPod Touch is more realistic though in terms of my budget. xD I really want to get a new one because of iOS5. I can’t download it at the moment because I’m only using a prepaid USB stick for my internet connection, so it’ll take ages to download. The new ones ship out with iOS5 built-in. :D

Grouping gifts.

I was thinking of saving some money this coming Christmas season by combining gifts. Instead of giving presents individually, it would be easier to get something useful for let’s say a whole family. I have a friend who recently started a new family, they’ve asked me before to be a godparent of their child and since she’s due soon I thought I can get them a stroller like the bumbleride indie as my Christmas gift to my friend and my godchild to be. It doesn’t have to be something expensive, just something that everyone will appreciate. :)

Reminiscing.

A picture that showed a cassette tape and a pencil in Facebook made us remember and reminisce about the old days. I still remember when I used to beg my parents for extra allowance so I can buy the new Backstreet Boys and Westlife album in cassette. I had to keep lots of batteries around so I can use my Walkman anytime I want. Back then young people wanted ray ban, Baby G watches, Tamagotchi, Gameboy and Family computers.

Today, my younger siblings ask for PSPs, Nintendo DSi, iPhone/iPod Touch and laptops. >.<
