Moving up, RN to BSN online.

March 27th, 2010

March was a busy month for me and I was able to hear from old friends and classmates I haven’t talked to in a long while. It was nice to hear that most have finished their courses and are working already. I had some friends who are registered nurses but took associate degrees instead of bachelors. Some of them are interested in trying rn to bsn online courses because its flexible and meets their busy schedules better. I’ve read that several online universities offer them like http://wgu.edu. I’ve read that in WGU, the students have their own personalized Academic Action Plan where they determine through consulting with their mentors the best learning resources for them. They have a variety of learning resources available to ensure they would be able to prepare for their assessments. I know my friends would be interested in WGU because they also have financial aid which students can utilize.

I really don’t like it when other people use my computer. My siblings use it so I end up seeing the things they research about from time to time. It doesn’t help that my sister is taking up nursing. A few weeks ago I woke my computer from sleep and was surprised to see the browser opened to www.reliefhemorrhoid.com. Whenever she does her research for her classes, she leaves the browser open. That is why I have learned not to bring food on the computer. I don’t want to lose my appetite.

Ondoy.

October 2nd, 2009

I haven’t been blogging for the past week because our country got hit with the typhoon Ondoy (International code: KETSANA). Many people lost their homes and many Filipinos died. Another storm is coming today which is typhoon Pepeng which is classified as a super typhoon because of the strong winds it carries. I hope it doesn’t hurt our country as bad as Ondoy did.

All donations and relief goods are appreciated. There are several drop-off points all around the country as well as bank accounts set up by the Philippine National Red Cross, Sagip Kapamilya, WorldVision, TXTPower, and other organizations. I think even a motorcycle jack will be helpful. We have so many vehicles right now on the streets that needs to be worked on after this other typhoon leaves.

Babies.

July 21st, 2009

Lately I’ve heard of lots of my friends being pregnant. Soon I’ll be getting lots of birth announcements which will soon turn into baptismal invites. Ack. I have to save up for gifts. T_T Good thing babies are cute little angels. Makes the spending worthwhile especially since shopping for baby stuff is so much fun. The baby department is so colorful and definitely a stress reliever for me, that’s why when a pregnant friend asks me to accompany her on getting some baby things I say yes.

Eeeep. I just remembered that I still have to get one of my godchildren gifts since their birthday is fast approaching. T_T

Church meeting.

May 31st, 2009

The women from church came by today for a prayer meeting. I wasn’t feeling too well because of my stomach cramp so I only prepared some chicken sopas and pancakes for their refreshments. I wanted to bake a cake or maybe some cupcakes but my cramps were acting up so I had to give in and make something easier and faster to prepare. I’ve already tried hot compress, oil, and taking buscopan but so far nothing has worked yet.

I hope it gets better tomorrow.
