Media haven.

February 19th, 2010

I have one vice and that is electronics. I really love gadgets and electronic items. If I win the lottery, I’ll probably spend a day shopping for things I can put in my personal media room. New kick-ass computer (because the one I have right now dies when I run Photoshop and SAI), a Cintiq tablet and an all-in-one printer/scanner/fax/copier machine. Then a large plasma tv, blu-ray, speakers, air-conditioning unit and a whole lot of loot. I’m pretty much a hermit and I can live in that room for a long time for work and play so the investment won’t be a total waste. I’d rather spend on that than waste it on booze.

Money in death.

February 3rd, 2010

Unexpected things happen. We heard that the mother of my aunt died and soon after our old neighbor died. Some people think everything ends in death, though here in our country debt doesn’t. Plus there’s the funeral cost families have to look money for. Death is expensive, no wonder we have so many funeral parlors around. They make a killing out of it, no pun intended. If I had strong guts, I’d invest in the funeral business.

Insured yet?

January 28th, 2010

I should start looking at insurance plans. I promised myself I would last year but I still haven’t gotten around to it. I’m not really used to insurance stuff but I know it would be easier for me if I have evrything sorted especially in case of unexpected emergencies. I have to make sure once I get myself a car or a van, I’d be updating my insurance. I don’t want to be caught unexpectedly. I have to invest on good sam mechanical breakdown insurance especially for rainy days.

Getting there, yay!

August 31st, 2009

Ok, this week is finals week. Lots of papers that still need to be submitted plus a few projects and then I have class that has a departmental final exam scheduled which is for my Entrepreneurial Strategy class. Seriously, I never thought my last term in school for my business classes would be this hard. Maybe I can one day put this to good use and apart from putting up my own business, I can also be one of those business plan consultants that I see. :D Still quite a long time before I get to that one, but I really am hoping that I pass everything this term. So I’ll be walking to graduate on October 10th. Pray for me will you? <3

Shopping.

March 23rd, 2009

Summer = Sale for people here in the country. I think lots of malls in the metro are grabbing the opportunity to sell as much as they can (even at a discounted price) to move their inventories. It’s definitely better than having unsold stock wasted in their warehouses.

I need to make some serious moolah soon to be able to enjoy these huge sales and discounts. Makes me feel a bit bad for resigning in TT because the pay was good, but then I’d rather finish my degree first. If only there was a job in the world where you would be asked to do nothing and get paid. Thinking about it though, I’d rather not take one of those jobs. There are opportunities like that available although usually linked to something criminal, sooo I’d rather not.
