Silence in the province.

March 8th, 2010

I’ve never been a fan of long distance moving since I’m pretty much used to our town. If I do move, it would probably somewhere quite really far because I would look for a place that’s more provincial than metro. I prefer lazy days over fast paced living in the city and I have never been a fan of the dirty polluted smog filled air of Manila. I pretty much enjoy it here in Batangas where I can breathe clean air and enjoy quiet times. I can’t stand noise because it triggers my headaches so I’ve opted to work online for the time being rather than stay in Manila.

I want a place in tagaytay.

Most houses here don’t have fireplaces because we are in a tropical region. The only houses I’ve seen that usually have one are in Baguio and Tagaytay where the weather can get cold. Maybe when I get a chance to own a resthouse in Baguio or Tagaytay, I’ll get one of those Amish fireplaces just to be different. I’d love to cozy up on a thick warm blanket and read a book while some soft music plays. That would definitely ease my stress.

Mom and Dad is getting into the construction business. They’re getting contracts from local businesses and institutions and getting the supplies from my Uncle’s company. I hope this works out, so that they can have a good source of income apart from Dad’s salary. It would be a welcome increase in our family income especially since Angel will be going back to school this coming May. Maybe we could even get some stainless steel tiles for our kitchen renovation. We need to change the old ones already because of the visible cracks.

Maybe this project will enable us to get our own house and lot. 2010 is just beginning and I have a feeling that it will be a wonderful year ahead for all of us.

After All Saint’s Day (or is it All Soul’s Day?) passed, Christmas season is now suddenly in full swing. News reports of people doing their early gift shopping in Divisoria started showing on the local networks today. I hope Christmas songs start playing frequently on the radio as well. I’ll be getting some Christmas lights with Mom so we can decorate the front of our house with sparkling gold lights. We need to get another Christmas tree (though for those in the US and other countries the ones we have are deemed artificial christmas trees), because our old one is missing lots of its branches. xD I’m excited for Christmas. It’s my favorite holiday of the year. :D

This is probably the rainiest summer I’ve had my whole life. Its been raining since last week and today we had one of the heaviest downpours back home. I even had to change into my pajamas with matching socks because it was so cold. O.o To think just a couple of weeks ago it was hotter than a lit furnace back here. I wonder how beach vacation rentals here in Batangas are doing lately. I like dancing in the rain but I don’t think I’ll really enjoy my beach vacation if it rains all the time. I haven’t checked with my sister yet if it rained in Caramoan. They went there and will head to CWC as well. Hopefully they didn’t experience the heavy rain there. It wouldn’t be a “summer escapade” if they were all wet from the rain and not by frolicking in the sea.
