Looking for military gear?

March 15, 2008 · Filed Under College Life and DLSU, Family Stuff · Comment

My friend who moved to the United States a few years back was talking about getting a gift for her “friend” who was in the military since his birthday was coming soon. Knowing nothing about military uniforms - army uniforms, we decided to check out some online stores just to look at the available products that they had. We weren’t looking for anything specific since we didn’t know what to get so we figured we’ll just check out anything that looks good.

We were able to see the USPatriotStore.com and they offered quite a good assortment of products which customers would definitely be interested in. Since we didn’t know much about ranks and stuff, we went to the items that wasn’t specific to ranks and insignias. We looked at the military eye wear that they had and they really looked hot. I did think the Wiley-X ROMER II Polarized Smoke eye wear would really look good at her guy. The hooded pullovers also caught our attention since it was so hot and cute. She has to ask him again which service he was since she didn’t know. The available options for the logo in the pullover were army, marines and navy.

Do check them out when you are in need of any army/military tactical gear either for yourself or as gifts. The products they have are very interesting.

KC n’ Me

My godson KC and me

That’s me and my godson, KC. Hehe, I don’t have my own baby yet, if I did his or her pictures would’ve been plastered all over my blog already. Lol. Finally after 70 days since he was born, I got to see my godson! I wasn’t there when he was baptized so I need to make up with my baby gifts this coming Christmas and his first year birthday.

After I left the City State Tower Plaza last Thursday (I slept there with Ate Beng and her children after the Redbox EB), I went to visit Mina and Von at their house so I can finally see my dear inaanak. Haha, he was such a cutie and he’s big for a two month old baby. Mina said instead of the 2 ounces of milk prescribed by the pediatrician, KC consumes around 6 ounces. No wonder he’s big.

My sister and I have trouble sleeping…

March 8, 2008 · Filed Under College Life and DLSU, Family Stuff · Comment

Since I’ve been having real trouble getting sleep as well as my sister, I decided to look around the internet for websites that talk about ambien which is a sleeping medicine according to some friends who have heard of it before. I am a bit of an insomniac and I find it hard to sleep at night so I usually stay up until the morning where I finally fall asleep for being awake for such a long time. My sister is interested to get some sleeping pills since she works in a call center. When her shift changes, she finds it extremely hard to get sleep since her body clock can’t adjust immediately to her new schedule.

Since I’m planning to go back to school after this term, I really wanted to find what ambien side effects existed since I have had a bad experience before with my relaxant medication where I suddenly became paralyzed on my lower leg while I was about to cross the street. I didn’t want to experience that scare again so this time I wanted to read information that is available about ambien before asking my doctor about it. Also I’m still taking some of my previous prescriptions which is for my cluster headaches so I might not be able to take this one.

Any of you guys heard of this sleeping pill too?

Going to Bora’s expensive. Lol.

March 7, 2008 · Filed Under College Life and DLSU, Family Stuff · 1 Comment

My sister will be going to Bora with her officemates at the end of March I think. They’ve already booked their seats on the RoRo as well as Cebu Pacific. They will be taking the RoRo first and then after their vacation they’d be flying back to Manila. She’s estimated around P10k would be her expenses for this trip, thats why they haven’t booked their flight to Davao yet. They’re still waiting for cheap flights which usually come during the summer season, like the P1 per mile flights I think.

Graduates are better qualified for mortgage?

March 3, 2008 · Filed Under College Life and DLSU, Family Stuff · 1 Comment

I was surfing around for some news and other articles about Mortgages when I read up an article in Earth.co.uk with the title “Mortgage lenders look to graduates”. It got me interested since I was interested in learning a bit more about it since I do want to get a house for our family because we do want to live on our own house so Mom and Dad wouldn’t worry so much.

It caught my attention because I haven’t gotten my diploma yet. I earn online so paying the mortgage every month isn’t a problem but the thing is not all get mortgages unless they have a stable job with a payroll. If the trend in our country follows those in the UK, I would really have a hard time even with my sister’s help) to get ourselves a mortgage for that house we want because she hasn’t graduated still even if she does have a regular job at the call center.

If we do end up needing diplomas as a proof of being better qualified in getting mortgages, I’d have to wait a few more terms before I can finally apply for one. I really have to get my diploma soon, because it would be great if it really counts on getting a mortgage approved.

Inquisition type leads does not generate possible clients for your business.

March 3, 2008 · Filed Under College Life and DLSU, Internet and Technology · Comment

Back in our business classes professors and lecturers discussed the importance of sales lead generation to businesses because companies rely on its sales and profits to be able to continue its existence and its service. Although there are many organizations that offer sales lead generation services, some of them employ sales lead strategies that make people feel they are being interrogated rather than being courteously asked if they are interested on the services that your company is offering. More often these interrogative discussions lead your company losing a potential client rather than finding one.

Do check out LeadDogs.com and read around their services. You might find it enlightening and informative.

Term Papers and Endurance

March 3, 2008 · Filed Under College Life and DLSU · Comment

While sorting through all my junk from school, I found several copies of the term papers I wrote for my subjects in school. Most of them are related to management since my course is Business Management. Subjects ranged from Human Resource, Business Organization, Entrepreneurship and others were about Economics.

The hardest term paper I had to finish before was for our practicum which had to synthesize all the learnings we had during the 1 year practicum program as well as the actual figures with regards to the profits and losses of our investment. Thats when I experienced staying up for more than 48 hours just to finish our paper just to be able to get a mock defense before we can actually get the final defense schedule. I did have to drink red bull, lipovitan and several glasses of san mig lite with extra joss to stay awake. Lol.

We had that just for our major subject and we still had many other major and minor subjects that had several papers, essays and surveys we had to finish up. If only we had the option to buy essay before, I might have gone down that road instead of going crazy over all the deadlines I had.

When you can’t meet that deadline.

February 7, 2008 · Filed Under College Life and DLSU, Random Ramblings · Comment

We all know that writing a term paper can sometimes be a hassle especially if we have many deadlines to meet and our workload has piled up. There are times when we can’t meet the deadlines our professors gave us so sometimes we end up not passing that
science term paper that we really need to submit or keep asking the professor for extensions and considerations.

Instead of opting not to pass the term requirement when you have no time to really do it at all, why not try out custom writing services? You can check out i-termpaper.com and see for yourselves what they can offer.

I want to go to Vegas too

January 28, 2008 · Filed Under College Life and DLSU, Random Ramblings · Comment

A couple of my friends are headed to Vegas next month since they were planning to try the casinos there. Hah, they just got there and they’re planning to spend their money already. Lol. They were checking online hotel review sites to see which hotels in Las Vegas would be good to stay in during their 2 week vacation there. Maybe I should tell them to try the slots where people win lots of coins in. That would certainly be fun. ;)

I Need New Glasses

January 28, 2008 · Filed Under College Life and DLSU, Family Stuff, Random Ramblings · Comment

Yes. I wear glasses. Being online and on the computer for more than 12 hours a day means I need one to protect my eyes and it helps ease my headaches. I was trying to see what are the new styles for glass frames these days when I saw one of the Best Thing Found: Zenni Optical who offers a huge selection of frames (heh, much better than my own optometrist). They offer Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses which is really way to cheap compared to my boring one that I got a couple of months ago which I broke yesterday. It really is aGreat Discovery: Zenni Optical maybe if they start a franchise here I can get some for myself.
