Clay Pots & Wooden Spoons

I overheard my mom talking with my aunt about their plans on getting a new tonneau cover for their truck. Haha, so that’s what those pick-up truck thingies are called. So yesterday after I got my course card for Conadev, I went to Makati to pick-up Au from their office (Island Rose) since we were having dinner with Andrew and Vicky in Megamall. I took a cab (and paid P100 hehe) and got dropped of at Greenbelt 3, I had to ask for directions to get to Greenbelt 5 which was near Au’s office. I stayed there for a bit since Au had to finish some work stuff before she can leave. When we got to the MRT station, the line was so long. v.v Even the trains were packed with people rushing home from work and shopping.

Seriously, this is not the best time to have those Christmas dinners with your friends. There’s just too much people everywhere. Hahaha.

Hmmm, does anyone know any other cheap place to stay in Taft? Haha. I’m starting to feel a little claustrophobic of the small cramped space where my sister and I are staying at right now. It deosn’t help that were on the 3rd floor either. I’m a bit afraid of heights. That’s why I hate the Andrew building (I hope I don’t get a class there next term). The building itself is nauseating for me. Back when I had classes there, my headaches got worse. I prefer the LS and Yuchengco buildings more for classes.

My sister is thinking of moving to a room that Kuya Bong was renting on their house. Though I really prefer to have our own apartment. It would be easier to clean up, do laundry, cook and go around the house if we didn’t have other people with us in there. At the moment the stuff we have at the dorm belong to Ate Em’s. The TV, the bed, the drawers as well as the table and portable gas range. If we do move into an apartment, I’d go ask mom to go with me in finding shops with deals on discount furniture. I can’t purchase everything at the mall’s list price since its really quite expensive to get furniture and other house stuff especially since were on a tight budget.

I talked before of wanting my own laptop. Loans can definitely help get me one easily this Christmas such as Personal Loans which are often available to people in the US. Too bad lenders in our country require lots of paperwork and collateral before one can get a loan.

It would be great to get an Auto Loan and buy a car that I’ve been wanting, without the hassle of preparing so many documents. Its tough being a blogger (and having it as a part time job) since it doesn’t have a company payslip which is one of the documents some lenders ask for.

Wheeeeeeee! Haha. I’ve been waiting for my copy of the Wordpress for Dummies book since Lisa told me that she has sent it already. I’ve been really worried that it might’ve been lost in the mail. Hehe, our postal service here in the country isn’t that great, they tend to erm misplace some things. Lol.

Soooooooo, I was so happy when the postman came bearing the “Registry Notice” so I can claim the parcel at the postal office. Tadaaaaa:

Look at the date. Ugh. Haha, It’s December 10 here already when the notice was delivered to me. It arrived November 28 at the Post Office. Lol. I gotta ask mom for P35, my wallet’s filled with cobwebs at the moment.

Wooohoo, I’ll post the book’s pictures later. Hehe. I promised Lisa I’ll send her a copy of me and the book. Wheeeeeee!

I have a silly pet peeve that I really can’t get over with. Its those people who talk loudly while they’re on the bus, the lrt, or any public transportation. Sometimes when all I want to do is sleep or rest, its quite annoying to hear someone talking quite loudly in such cramped spaces. Why do they do it?!?

Its funny since when your on a bus, a jeepney, the lrt or mrt you really can’t stop from eavesdropping. May it be about the latest showbiz news, someone’s boss’ having an otoplasty in Chicago or even some gossip about their neighbors extra-marital affairs.

I think it would be a good way to create some buzz over new products or websites. I’ve experienced actually searching for certain stuff people talk about, like hand lotions they recently bought, or moisturizers that really work (well, according to that passenger). I’ve also scoured shops that they mentioned on their talks. Especially when its sales and bargains that they talk of.

Maybe I should get my friends to talk animatedly about my blog when they’re on the MRT to Ortigas. Maybe I can get some blog traffic that way.
