I was going around blogs and websites when I saw http://www.thoughts.com/. Like other sites that offer people free blogs or personal journals, members can easily upload photos, videos as well as podcasts that they would like to share to their readers.
Its also easy to keep some things private since you can toggle whether you want your specific blog entry to be publicly viewable or only available to your friends and family. Finding friends there is easy as well because it is community geared making other people and members aware of your posts so they can easily comment on your entries.
What is also interesting there is their forum. The forum provides a much more personal approach rather than just a network of blogs. Members can easily start topics and get feedback as well as answers to their questions. The main page of the site acts like a portal wherein recent posts and topics created by members are posted, as well as news, featured photos and videos. This makes it easier for members to find new content available because they can easily browse the main page for interesting entries that they might want to participate or comment in.
Blogging in a community can be so much fun especially for beginners. Sometimes its hard to start blogs on other networks because there are so many people already and there isn’t really much interaction going around them. Starting out in a community blog helps because you don’t have to worry much about finding ways of getting people to know that you have a blog somewhere in an obscure corner.
So if you just want to test blogging first you can go add Thoughts.com on your list for must-try blogging communities. It wouldn’t hurt to share your thoughts there.

Not an April Fool Contest ;)
I just saw the BNIB 1 GB Ipod Shuffle contest over at Progobbler.net which will be given away on April 1 (which coincidently is my birthday too, hehe). It’s not an April Fools joke as they stated in the post already, it really just ends on April 1st.
Everyone is welcome to join it since they mentioned already that the prize can be shipped internationally. The mechanics are easy and you can gain contest entries by making a comment in their blog, creating a blog post about the contest, subscribing to their feed and more.

WPP EB with Ate Beng in Redbox Greenbelt 3
Wheeeeeeee! Last Wednesday, I met with other bloggers in Redbox Greenbelt 3 to celebrate Ate Beng’s return to the country. We ate our hearts away enjoying the buffet in Redbox and sang the night away until the topics got into blogging tips and tricks. Haha.
Other bloggers who joined the fun are Ambo, Amor, Gab, Malen, Marie and Pusa. Hehe. Instead of placing all the pictures here (my bandwidth would suffer and my space too, lol) I decided to use photobucket and I did a slideshow. Here’s a short clip of what took place that night:

I just got home!
Wheeeeee, so I attended the EB with Ate Beng last Wednesday but I was only able to get home today. I haven’t uploaded the pictures yet since my pc is being really annoying right now. Erm, firefox won’t close and its not responding and my pc can’t recognize my camera. I hope I don’t have a virus. 
I can’t restart yet since my monitor is a pain, its very moody and a lot of times it won’t open at all. Haha, so I need to get me a new one soon. Maybe even a second hand one will do for the time being. I’ll leave a link to the pictures when I post it in my other blog after I get to access the cam. Ugh.

Tag+Giveaway: If your life was turned into a book, what would its title be?
Ok, so I was looking back on the stuff I collected over the years and I found one of the contents of the “One Hundred Questions” or so games that I had back then. While reading over each one, I got into a question like this one,
“If your life was turned into a book, what would its title be?”
I thought about my old multiply tagline which is “A Lie Worth Living” but then I don’t feel that way anymore. My life has gone from many ups and downs and things have changed a lot over the years. I’ve learned a lot of things and I have finally realized that although its important to not step on other people’s toes in getting what makes you happy its also equally important to not let other people control you just to keep them happy. One cannot please everyone and in the end it doesn’t matter because it doesn’t do you any good suppressing who you really are just for others to accept you. That real happiness can only be achieved once you finally learn to accept and love yourself.
With that in mind, I think I would like my life to be remembered as “A Journey Worth Living.” I think its much better than thinking that my life is a lie that I must live each day. This time I see my life is a journey that I can look up to each day since I know that I will learn more and meet more people who will touch my life more than they realize. Just like what they said in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, I must not let my past dictate my future, but let it be part of who I will become.

I’m excited for Ate Bengs EB tomorrow!
Wheeeee! I just attended an EB a over a week ago to celebrate Ate Kengkay’s arrival in the country. Tomorrow, we’ll be having another EB which is for Ate Beng. Malen’s the one fixing the venue and the last time I talked to her the options were Greenbelt or Mall of Asia.
We might try Redbox if we go to Greenbelt (hehe seems like WPP peeps really like singing) and Pier 1 if its in MOA. So anyone else coming to the EB tomorrow? It was scheduled around 8pm before but Malen said 6pm would be a better time to get people to know more right?
So to those interested to attend the EB tomorrow or follow us after your meetings , you can either catch Malen (if you have her number) or you can text me as well. My number is 0906-420-7140. Please tell me who you are ok? I don’t normally reply to anonymous text messages. Lol.

Waiting for my DSL installation…
Ugh. I applied last Feb 22 and since the 25th was a holiday we were told it would either be late Feb or the first week of March. -_- I need the DSL now. Haha, my dialup keeps getting disconnected so I do hope the line men would come and install it already. Ugh. Mom called them earlier and she was told that they already contacted the one who will be installing the line but they haven’t received any news from them yet. They said either today or tomorrow. -_- Oh well at least I get to use up all my prepaid dialup credit eh?
If I remember correctly the dsl package includes a phone line with a year free NDD. Wheeeeeee! I do hope it does. It would be easier to talk to my friends who are in Manila since long distance rates can be hefty if I call from Batangas to Manila. Also it would be great having my own number, I wouldn’t have to worry about having to use the current phone line here at home (which is also owned by Mom’s aunt) so I can receive calls without worries. If only I didn’t have dogs around the neighborhood I can even try getting some homebased work and take client calls. Oh well, I guess I have to look for other ways to get income from home at the moment. Maybe that client will call me again to offer the job I was offered a couple of months ago which I wasn’t able to accept due to the bad internet connection I had and also the poor state of my computer. Lol.

Get thrifty with coupons like me.
Hahaha, eversince I started doing online shopping (yay for merchants accepting international shipping!) I’ve been scouring the internet for various coupons that really help in getting my expenses lower. With the exchange rates we have, I really need coupons to offset some of my costs since shopping online can be a bit addicting. Hehe. There are my coupons around like Sports Authority coupons and you can find more if you search the net. I find domain coupons also very useful especially since I tend to get domains when I have funds in my account.

Back, back, back from my short hiatus
Wow. I have been away for quite a bit. Since my aunt came and I got a li’l bit sick. But I am back now. and I’ll be taking care of my 3 active blogs. I’ll be doing a bit of a change for each of them and I’ll be doing some reorganizing on my blogs.
I did attend the WPP EB for Ate Kengkay and I’ll try my best to post the pics as soon as the DSL I applied for gets installed by PLDT. Hahaha, I’ve decided that dial-up just can’t cut it anymore. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!.
