Accidents happen.
October 25th, 2009
Lately I’ve been hearing lots of motorcycle accidents around our town and the nearby provinces. Although I don’t think they get to court since most just opt to pay for the insurance and hospitalization of those affected. In other countries like in the US they have specific lawyers handling these kinds of cases. Some like Pleasanton motorcycle accident attorney and other lawyers from different places. Maybe someday we’ll hear about local lawyers tackling motorcycle cases in courts here. Though I hope it doesn’t happen anytime soon.
Busy, busy, busy.
March 20th, 2009
Things has started to get hectic after midterms so I haven’t been able to do much aside from school stuff. I still have to prepare for my final speech which is scheduled on Monday. Its a bit impromptu but we were given an outline to use and we were instructed to add additional research with regards to the content of the speeches where our impromptu will be based from and their speakers. I also need to brush up with the formulas for my production subject because it is getting quite complicated.
Summer is fast approaching and I want to be able to take a vacation with my friends. I haven’t been able to focus on making my websites work more to get some extra funds but I’m hoping I still have time before April starts. I have been a member on some affiliate marketing sites and some of the products are products I am highly interested in so hopefully I can find a way to better improve my conversion rate optimization for those products. I know some people who gain an ample amount through affiliate marketing, it just really takes some dedication to get it rolling. I hope I am able to get it in time for the planned trips this summer.
Nuffnang Philippines is here.
September 10th, 2008
Its been a week or two since I found out that Nuffnang has finally launched here in the Philippines. I am quite excited because I’ve seen Nuffnang from many Asian blogs that I visit. I knew they catered to the Malaysian and Singaporean market and I have been hoping for a long time that they would finally come here to the Philippines. I learned about their launching here because I noticed the Nuffnang banner in one of the blogs I frequent, so I immediately signed up for their service.
I am not a member of any local blog ad network so it was quite easy for me to become an exclusive member of Nuffnang. Their bots automatically crawl submitted websites and if they find that you are not a member of other local ad networks, you immediately get added to their exclusive member list. You need to take note that an exclusive Nuffnang blogger is a blogger that has NO advertisements from any other ad network that originates from South East Asia on his/her blog. I don’t have any so I was able to get in as an exclusive member.
Being an exclusive member means you get to be part of the Glitterati which is quite a cool club if you look at their features and benefits:
1) Payment Rates for both Cost Per Unique Visitor and Cost-Per-Click.
Glitterati Nuffnangers will earn 20-40% more than ordinary Nuffnangers.
2) Payment Terms
However, all Nuffnangers will still be paid in a timely manner as stipulated in the Program Table.
3) Advertorial Opportunities
Many bloggers know that while banner ad campaigns earn a decent stable income, it is advertorials that pay the most. Each advertorial depending on the advertiser, commitment and traffic can earn a blogger a minimum of PhP 1,500 not including freebies that may sometimes be included.
4) Community Events
Nuffnang is known to organize the biggest community events ever which range from free movie screenings, lunch meet ups and many more. We find that in many of these events, many Nuffnangers would like to bring guests along with them and we at Nuffnang would like to oblige as much as we can.
As such, 70% of the seats for each event will be allocated to Nuffnang Glitterati AND the guests they may bring.
5) Contests
Contests among Nuffnangers have been something we’ve been having quite a lot with many bloggers winning everything from free meals at Friday’s to mobile phones or even the upcoming contest of a free trip to Gold Coast. With the high demand for these contests, we will give priority to Nuffnang Glitterati with 70% of the prizes to be allocated to them and the remaining 30% to be allocated to non-Nuffnang Glitterati.
6) Innit
Innit is a tool developed and hosted by Nuffnang to add the additional service of driving traffic to any Nuffnang blog.
Now the community events and contest attracted my attention. Hehe. Joining Nuffnang is very easy. Just go to their site www.nuffnang.com.ph and click the sign-up online button. After your account has been verified, just go get the ad code you want from the options available and start posting it in your blogs. So what are you waiting for? Join us now and be part of Nuffnang Philippines.
WordCamp Philippines 2008 – College of St. Benilde – Sept. 6
July 18th, 2008
Who’s coming to the WordCamp Philippines 2008 this coming September 6 which will be held on College of St. Benilde (CSB) in Taft, Manila? I have just finished my registration since I will be attending this event (hopefully it doesn’t conflict with the schedule of my return to DLSU for this coming term…).
If you still haven’t registered and you are interested to attend the event, please click here. This event is for free (so there would be no entry fees) but bloggers who would want to attend and receive the camper badges and kits would need to post about the event in their blogs. Isn’t that great? You get to attend the WordCamp plus you get to invite those who visit your blogs to attend it too.
Thanks to the following sponsors who helped in getting this event up:
- i.PH: the Domain for Individuals
- Free Online Flash Games
- Wazzup Manila Philippines
- Real Estate CRM
- Real Estate Website Designers
- Orange County Real Estate
- Auto Insurance Quotes
- Lane Systems Inc.
- RedMedia
Thank you as well to Mindanao Bloggers who organized this event. =^.^=
My Kingston DT Mini Fun baby works again!!!
July 17th, 2008
I posted around November last year about how my Kingston DT Mini Fun 2gb flash disk suddenly went wonky and deleted all my files telling me I had to reformat it but its write protected. I was just checking something a while ago when I saw a comment to that entry by someone named, arthur iakab. This is what he said:
I found this on another site and it realy worked. It erases everything from it but make it work after that But pay big attention DO NOT have any other device conected to USB port as it is going to erase all from it:
My kingston flash drive had the following symptoms:
- Could read data
- Couldn’t write/format (”write-protection error”)
- Every file had the “archive” flag set. (attrib command in dos prompt)
It was fixed running the low-level formatting utility from Apacer website.http://www.apacer.com/en/support/downloads/Repair_v2.9.1.1.zip
(named “HT203 Handy Steno 2.0 Repair Tool” – or XXXX Repair Tool, for the software is model/manufacturer independent.)
Be careful to have only the flash drive you need to repair connected to your computer, as the software is quite ‘interfaceless’, and doesn’t even allow you to choose which drive you want to format – seems to me it assumes the first removable drive available.
Wish you guys the best of luck.
I tried it just now and it works! *SQUEALS* At least the flash disk can still be used now, I an go give it to my sister. She needs it more than I do now.
So in case you get that nasty write protect error even if we all know there isn’t a write protect hinge in that little flash disk, try the repair software above from Apacer and make sure to follow what Mr. Arthur Iakab said in his comment above. =^.^=
So to Mr. Arthur Iakab, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! -huggles-
