Spying Over Burn After Reading
November 13th, 2008
Woot! I was just reading my emails when I caught Nuffnang’s email about their movie premier of Burn After Reading on November 18, 2008, Tuesday 7:30pm at Robinsons Movie World, Robinsons Galleria! Its so good to see that Nuffnang has really started being active in the Philippines, since I’ve been seeing their events before for their Malaysian and Singaporean bloggers and how much fun they are having on these events. That’s why when I learned that Nuffnang Philippines was born, I immediately signed up for their program.
If asked why I want to watch the movie, my main answer would be “I need a break from work! *cough* That I’m starting to feel like an old hag …*cough*” and this would definitely be a good time to watch something with my friend and meet my fellow Nuffnangers too.
If not for Nuffnang’s email, I wouldn’t have heard about the movie really (which shows how much a recluse I’ve been since working for TT. Bugger.) I don’t have much life out of work since I seem to be living at work then just end up sleeping at home. I need to get out and have some fun for a change. Haha.
Oh well, if I get picked to get some of the movie tickets, yay! If not, I will just pout and sit in envy on my rest day back at home. Maybe watch some Ocean’s Thirteen or something while drooling on how cute Brad Pitt and George Clooney is.
WordCamp Philippines 2008 – College of St. Benilde – Sept. 6
July 18th, 2008
Who’s coming to the WordCamp Philippines 2008 this coming September 6 which will be held on College of St. Benilde (CSB) in Taft, Manila? I have just finished my registration since I will be attending this event (hopefully it doesn’t conflict with the schedule of my return to DLSU for this coming term…).
If you still haven’t registered and you are interested to attend the event, please click here. This event is for free (so there would be no entry fees) but bloggers who would want to attend and receive the camper badges and kits would need to post about the event in their blogs. Isn’t that great? You get to attend the WordCamp plus you get to invite those who visit your blogs to attend it too.
Thanks to the following sponsors who helped in getting this event up:
- i.PH: the Domain for Individuals
- Free Online Flash Games
- Wazzup Manila Philippines
- Real Estate CRM
- Real Estate Website Designers
- Orange County Real Estate
- Auto Insurance Quotes
- Lane Systems Inc.
- RedMedia
Thank you as well to Mindanao Bloggers who organized this event. =^.^=
Domain changes.
June 6th, 2008
I was tinkering with my domains so I decided to use one of my neglected domains for a more serious project of mine. The said domain is my name which is nikacatbagan.com. I decided to move my photoblog into a sub so my A View from Somewhere photoblog (which runs on PixelPost) is now at photography.nikacatbagan.com.
I turned the homepage into a blog where I would be writing more serious topics as well as talk about freelancing. Heh, I am still hoping that I wouldn’t have to take a call center job and instead just work at home. I love working from home.
I loved the theme immediately when I first saw it, the only thing she’s missing would be gold cufflinks and she’s all set. Lol. Hopefully I keep that blog updated frequently. I need to exercise my brain, its getting quite rusty since I haven’t been obligated to stimulate my mind by solving extremely long equations as well as reading old literatures then writing a 20 page reaction about it. I miss my professors. Lol.

NikaCatbagan.com is up and running. :)
March 15th, 2008
I have neglected my old photoblog which was on a folder of this domain before so I decided to delete it. I’ve registered a new domain, http://nikacatbagan.com, which I will be using for my photoblog from now own. Hopefully I can keep that one up and I will be trying to post at least one picture a day to keep myself from losing interest in it again.
I decided against moving my old one into the new domain. It was also a perfectly good reason to buy my own name as the domain since I’ve been wanting to register it for quite sometime now. I didn’t register it earlier since I didn’t have any use for it still but I figured the photoblog would sit well in it.
Since I wanted a fresh look for it, I chose to use the same theme for my personal blog as well as my A View From Somewhere photoblog.
I’m a wee bit in love with my current theme and I love looking at it so its quite perfect actually. I love the color green with black plus its very minimalistic. Elegantly stylish is what I call it.
