I totally forgot to post that I got my UMobile sim card last week. I was too busy with baking that I have forgotten to go ask here if anyone was interested to get invites. I finally got mine the day after I got a call from a UMobile representative saying that I had to ready a photocopy of my valid ID which the deliverer would be taking back to their office. I actually thought I wasn’t going to be accepted in the network since it took a week before I got a call from them. Lol. So if you have been waiting for an answer for a couple of days, don’t lose hope still. Oh, and don’t freak out (in case your a Globe or Sun user) and you get call with “No Number“. Do answer it, its most likely the UMobile representative who is about to tell you that you got in. Apparently they are still having connection issues with Globe and Sun, so the UMobile numbers at the moment only gets registered properly if your calling Smart users.

I actually got 2 chances to get in since I was able to ask for an invite from marghil’s girlfriend. Before i received her invite though, I got a free invite when I visited UMobile’s website as well. So far I’ve been enjoying using it and I’ve mainly used it for mobile internet. The sim card comes with P100 load for the first six months, if you get approved within June – August. Then you are also able to get extra credits for free if you receive ads on your UMobile number from sponsors which are customized based from your answers on the lifestyle questionnaire. You can also buy credits online and offline. I’m quite happy they accept Paypal. Hehe.

Although P100 doesn’t sound too much, its still free so there’s nothing much to lose of you try to get into the network. The only catch is you have to be 18-35 years old since that is their target market. In case you fit the age requirement and you are interested to get a free invite, just comment here with your name, email and current mobile number.

I tried sending an invite with just the email and name a few hours ago and it wouldn’t send because it requires me to put in your mobile numbers too. In case you’re not comfortable with giving out your mobile numbers, you can also send it to me through my contact form.

Now if you really don’t want to give me your number (which I will be most likely forgetting after sending you the invite since I don’t have plans on calling you or texting you networking offers and the like), I don’t have any other ideas. Maybe you can go scout the UMobile site if they still have free invites there and request for one.

By the way, if you do get the invite email, please answer it as soon as you can so you can get your sim card faster and also so that I can get the invite slot that was allotted to you free again to help out other people interested in an invite. :)

In the meantime I’ll go check out this medicare advantage page and see if there’s anything I can recommend to my aunt. I need to renew my own PhilHealth too. Yikes.
