Today is a blessed day.
Thank you Jesus for all the blessings you gave me today. I’m so happy, I’m crying. Thank you so much.

Finished with tests, yipee!
I finally finished the last two exams today as well as the final interview. I had a very long day like yesterday and I’m so tired. I have my medical exams scheduled for tomorrow morning as well so I am still not done. Hopefully everything goes well. I have to find good acne cures soon for me and my sister. Working during the nights might trigger them. Lol.

Tired.
I had started part of the requirements for my application. I was able to finish at least the initial interview and two preliminary exams. I still have 2 more tomorrow and hopefully a final interview. I’m a bit tired as well because I’ve been trying to fix my documents so I can ensure a smooth application. Hopefully I can finish getting all the clearances before the deadline.
I have to remember to check this term life insurance thing some other time. I’m quite to busy still.

Exams on Monday. Eeeek!
So I finally got the guts to try and get a job. Offline. Away from my pc in my room, outside my house.
My best friend’s aunt sent our resume to her friend who worked in a call center hrd and after crying yesterday for missing the freaking call, I finally received a call again today for my phone interview. I was surprised because I was in a salon about to get my hair cut when my phone rang. I answered the call and had to go outside because the salon was quite noisy, only to have people walking by stare at me like I was a demented freak speaking english on my phone. Its not common here in our province to speak english on anyones mobile phone especially in public while standing in the sidewalk in front of a local salon.
So while trying my best to hear the speaker on the other end of the line and trying to make up what he was saying, I had to walk around to get the best signal possible. The call lasted for 10 minutes and now I have to get ready for my written exams on Monday. Wooo. My first real job application outside the world wide web. Lol.

Bux.to Payment Update - I got paid.
I just got paid the $43.19 I cashed out last January 23, 2008 through AlertPay. Haha, I know that was quite a long time but still at least I got back the $34.95 investment for 35 referrals back. I still don’t have enough to get the $59 premium so I’m looking for another site to invest the $41.87 (AlertPay took some for charges since I apparently applied for a business account ugh…) and see if it would work too. I’m planning to cash out the remaining $100+ that my referrals accumulated for me for the last 6 months that I’ve been waiting for my cashout as soon as their site comes back after the maintenance. After that I can hopefully apply for premium in Bux.to which would be next year January (if I have to wait 6 months like what happened with my first payout) or earlier if the site is able to upgrade their scripts and enable faster payout to the members.
So I’m quite happy that I finally got my first payout from them so there’s one less person doubting that Bux.to pays. ![]()

Changes online and offline.
My blog needs to be updated right now. I have just changed the theme into the old one we had, because I was having problems with the previous theme with some text formats in my entries. This blog needs a major clean-up both in design and content, so I will be doing some changes which would hopefully be finished before this month ends. I’m psyching myself to go back in school and finish my remaining 6 units, so I have to not just fix my blog before the end of August, I also have to raise up the needed cash for it.
I also have decided to start changes in my life offline. So, I need to set everything in order. Fix my room and let go off every junk and trash that I’ve compiled through the years and keep whats important to me. I’m gonna be cleaning my closet and keep only those that I need and really wear. I’m also going to have to start using my gym membership because I am tired of being so lazy with my health. I want to change now not because I care so much of what others think, but because I finally feel I need this change. Its weird because somehow I feel happy right now. I have so much problems in front of me but I don’t care. I know I will find a way with God’s help to get through everything. I’ve decided to let go of worries and doubts and just enjoy living. I might die tomorrow and I don’t want to look back in my life saying I didn’t do anything.

it’s not the years in your life that count.
It’s the life in your years.”

How you display your products/services in trade events affect how people perceive your business.
I’ve always wondered where companies get those booths and displays during trade show exhibits. I’ve seen a lot of companies use them during exhibits, trade shows, job fairs and even during some school events back when I was still in school. Many companies use different kinds of displays to get people’s attention and I think its one of the things people enjoy when attending these events (aside from the random freebies they give out too). Some of them so good that its hard to get into their booth because of the large crowd gathered in there.
While checking online for companies that offer these types of products and/or services, I discovered one which is in the US which is called Camelback Displays. They provide many kinds of table covers to spice up your tables during trade events. We all know that well-designed booths and attractive tables get out attention especially if they match the product or service you’re trying to offer to the probable clients. Most times when your booth looks like it wasn’t given much thought or attention to detail, people would find it uninteresting and think that your products and services might be of the same quality. How you setup your own booths affect how people perceive your business. If your booth is sloppy and looks like you just threw out the things in there just for the sake of having a booth, the image being portrayed by it would make people feel like you don’t really care about quality.
I admit I feel that way at times. When I see a booth in a fair or exhibit that doesn’t seem to have been prepared well, I tend to pass it by and check out the other ones that make it look like they made that much effort in making their display a good one for us who attend the event. I would waste my time looking at a boring table display on this one booth if I can go check out this really wonderful table top display from the nearby booth.
Its these simple and ordinary things that some business overlook at times. Just like when we had our Practicum Bazaar in DLSU. All the practi groups took time to make their booths look good because we have been taught that how your booth looks attracts the people that walk around. If you catch their attention, then you’d get the chance to share with them your product or services and maybe you might even make a sale. I still get annoyed when I remembered some of the booths back in the GoNegosyo event a few years back. Some booths were so bare it was uninteresting, and some even just had fliers and no people in there. At least the MAFBEX 2008 was better. There were lots of booths that caught my attention. Hopefully the FOODBEX this coming August would be as good, or even better.

WordCamp Philippines 2008 - College of St. Benilde - Sept. 6
Who’s coming to the WordCamp Philippines 2008 this coming September 6 which will be held on College of St. Benilde (CSB) in Taft, Manila? I have just finished my registration since I will be attending this event (hopefully it doesn’t conflict with the schedule of my return to DLSU for this coming term…).
If you still haven’t registered and you are interested to attend the event, please click here. This event is for free (so there would be no entry fees) but bloggers who would want to attend and receive the camper badges and kits would need to post about the event in their blogs. Isn’t that great? You get to attend the WordCamp plus you get to invite those who visit your blogs to attend it too.
Thanks to the following sponsors who helped in getting this event up:
- i.PH: the Domain for Individuals
- Free Online Flash Games
- Wazzup Manila Philippines
- Real Estate CRM
- Real Estate Website Designers
- Orange County Real Estate
- Auto Insurance Quotes

- RedMedia
Thank you as well to Mindanao Bloggers who organized this event. =^.^=

My Kingston DT Mini Fun baby works again!!!
I posted around November last year about how my Kingston DT Mini Fun 2gb flash disk suddenly went wonky and deleted all my files telling me I had to reformat it but its write protected. I was just checking something a while ago when I saw a comment to that entry by someone named, arthur iakab. This is what he said:
I found this on another site and it realy worked. It erases everything from it but make it work after that But pay big attention DO NOT have any other device conected to USB port as it is going to erase all from it:
My kingston flash drive had the following symptoms:
- Could read data
- Couldn’t write/format (”write-protection error”)
- Every file had the “archive” flag set. (attrib command in dos prompt)
It was fixed running the low-level formatting utility from Apacer website.
http://www.apacer.com/en/support/downloads/Repair_v2.9.1.1.zip
(named “HT203 Handy Steno 2.0 Repair Tool” - or XXXX Repair Tool, for the software is model/manufacturer independent.)
Be careful to have only the flash drive you need to repair connected to your computer, as the software is quite ‘interfaceless’, and doesn’t even allow you to choose which drive you want to format - seems to me it assumes the first removable drive available.
Wish you guys the best of luck.
I tried it just now and it works! *SQUEALS* At least the flash disk can still be used now, I an go give it to my sister. She needs it more than I do now.
So in case you get that nasty write protect error even if we all know there isn’t a write protect hinge in that little flash disk, try the repair software above from Apacer and make sure to follow what Mr. Arthur Iakab said in his comment above. =^.^=
So to Mr. Arthur Iakab, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! -huggles-

Sad thoughts about school and life.
I’ve been trying to read back on he past lessons that were taught back when I was still in school and at the moment I am trying to understand corporate performance management again. Its been a long time sine I’ve been in school so its hard for me to read anything related to my course. I do miss school but I don’t know. It seems everytime I go back, something holds me back. I just wish I can finally finish it. Its the only thing that’s holding me back in life. If only I can turn back time…sigh. I’m not in a happy mode. This past week has been bad. Really bad. I just don’t know anything anymore.
