Useful applications I can use for my projects.

A month or so ago, I learned about Crossloop from Mix. I found it very useful when I had some technical problems (or when my friends did) since we can just help out each other by using it. It acts as a share screen application which is really useful especially when I have to teach my friends or groupmates how to use a certain program for one of our projects. Even if we are physically far from each other (I go home to Batangas everyday) we can still talk through online messengers and I can show them how to use the program using Crossloop.

Earlier, I found another program that I can use for online collaborations. I found it useful, since much like Crossloop, they also offer a free option aside from the paid plans. I can utilize that for group projects. Definitely more useful than with the old Yahoo! groups we’ve all been using before. Hehe. I placed a banner in my sidebar under the heading Project Collaboration so other people interested can try and join it. The application is called Projjex. You can try the program already even under the free plan since you are allowed 1 project for free plans. I haven’t fully used the program but I will try it with my friend since it looks such a good way to keep track of the progress of our project as well as keeping tabs on who didn’t finish their assigned tasks and responsibilities in time for the next person who will be needing their output. Haha, this would’ve been so useful when we were still making our business plan for the practicum. So many chapters, so little time.
