Television and Brand recall
One of the most convincing advertising campaigns come from television. When one product is shown on the telly, many people are drawn to it especially when it is an interesting product that they can use at home or for themselves. I myself have been very interested in short form commercial ads not only because they are done good but the creative concepts they present are disarmingly ingenious. Many of us get hooked to products not just because we know they work. Most of the time when shopping time comes, what we saw on the television comes to us thus we recall their brands more than those who merely present print ads or flyers.
Name or brand recall is one of the most important thing for products aside from delivering what they promised to do. Many household products especially here in the Philippines function through brand recall. Toothpastes are commonly called Colgate (though they aren’t really buying colgate but still the name has stuck), Pencils are called Mongol, Noodles are called Maggi or Lucky Me, and the list goes on. Getting your name stuck on your consumers head isn’t easy but once you are able to convert them and your products does well, they’ll keep on using and buying your products.
