In the fast paced world today many people have choses to avail of credit cards because they can carry less cash with them everyday. These cards also help people like me who cannot pay a huge expense like a computer purchase buy one through monthly installments. Many stores do not allow a simple paper “I Owe You” to get a product through their installment programs. They need a credit card where they can charge those monthly charges and not worry about going to where you live and demand you to pay them. The credit card company does the work.
Though many merchants have actually availed of a merchant account and installed their own credit card facilities in their stores, many other establishments still do not accept credit cards. There are some stores that I really love but they do not accept credit cards. When that is the case, I just buy from them when I have cash lying around or when I really need their product. Its easier for me to buy in a new shop that I find good products in if I find that they have credit card machines. I was thinking that if the Monterey Meat Shop we have here in our local neighborhood can install their own credit card facilities to enable people to buy through their cards, why can’t the other groceries here do that?
