Babies, Barbies and Barneys - Why the baby section is so much fun.

When I go window shopping, the usual shops I go to ogle things on are bookstores, shoe and bag stores, home furnitures and the baby section. I love seeing things for adults like me, but I really do enjoy looking at those little things for babies. Not only are the colors warm and bright as a sunshine, the atmosphere there is just so cute.
I usually start over with the infant stuff like those small clothes, the cute bibs, and cribs. Back when our youngest sibling, Miguel, was still a baby the cribs we saw at malls were the usual ones, these days lots of designs have emerged and you will really have fun looking at the creative ideas people come up with. One of the best sections for the infants would be the sleepwear, especially those with Pooh and Precious Moments designs. Also if you touch the fabrics they use, its really soft to the touch and you know it would be really comfy. Maybe I’d try buying one as a sample and find if there are any same quality fabrics around in Divisoria. I’d love to get some and have a seamstress make me some pairs of new pajamas especially since its so cold here in Batangas right now. Its really quite weird since its supposed to be hot already since summer is approaching. Its not supposed to be wet and cold like it is for the past month.
I noticed that these days the Barbie collection has really diversified. Before I only see Barbie, Ken and their friends, now there are lots of other characters that I don’t know anymore. When I was in grade school I wanted to start a collection for myself, good thing I didn’t. With the huge number of available Barbie releases, I’ll never get it completed. Though there is one set I would like to get, the one from the recent Barbie movie, Twelve Dancing Princess, I think. I really liked that one, the music was really good and I think we watched it more than a couple of times already. There were also lots of soft cuddly teddies and bunnies around. I remember back then when Barney was quite popular. I did want one of those Barney stuffed toys, and I still love singing the Barney song (the kids version not the adult one).
Also one thing I noticed at the toys section was the Tamagotchi. I remember when it was a craze in grade school. I was in Grade 3 back then and everyone in class had one. My very first Tamagotchi was colored orange and I really took care of it. Though I lost it one time when I forgot to take it off the key chain I had outside my bag. I thought their production had been halted but it seems they are back again. Well that’s how fads go. One time they’re hot, the next they’re not. I was tempted to get a Pokedex though. My two youngest siblings, Cristina and Miguel loves Pokemon. I really liked Pokemon back when they were first introduced in the country so naturally when our little ones started watching it I got into watching it again.
I used to play those pc versions of the Pokemon game that used simulators to run it, but I’ve lost that already, and its quite a good thing that our aunt gave us a Nintendo DS as her present when she came for a visit. She bought the Pokemon Pearl game for it as well as Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass. I’ve finished the Pokemon one and I am in the process of finishing Zelda. Hopefully I can get a Mario Kart or Animal Crossing. Though not having wi-fi really sucks since I just play by myself most of the time and the multiplayer modes are pretty much useless for me.
