Globe Autoloadmax has just scammed me off my P300.

Around 1 am today, I tried the i$end option in Chikka and paid through Paypal. From there, I paid $8.50 to get a P300 load which was supposed to be valid for 60 days. I checked the load after it has been sent to me, and it was correct at around P305 plus 35 free text messages since I still had P5 balance before I received the load. I even sent Taroogs the load through i$end.

Someone texted me a few minutes ago and I was about to reply when to my surprise, it told me “Check Operator Services”. I thought that must be wrong, I haven’t used any of the load yet after I bought it this morning. I tried to check my balance and it said 0. 0?!?!?!?!? I just bought the load and I haven’t used it yet!

I tried calling the GT Customer Service number which was 211, but the operator said,

Sorry you do not have enough prepaid credits in your account to make a call. Please reload before you can an outgoing call. Thank you.

Believe me, I’m fuming mad right now. I will try to contact VMobile Systems Solutions Inc. as well and ask them if they can do anything about it. This isn’t funny at all.

P.S. Globe should take a look at these matters closely. It really is a bad business to just eat up your customers prepaid credits without any explanation. I will be sending an email to Globe as well and see if they will reply. I will keep this updated. SO in case you know other people who had the same fate, please urge them to post about it as well. P300 isn’t just a small amount.

Updates:

I sent an email to both Globe and VMobile Systems Solutions Inc. a few minutes after I posted this entry. I received a call from VMobile Systems Solutions Inc. earlier and they talked to me regarding the transaction. The line went choppy so it got cut, after a few minutes I received the following text message from them:

May we advise you to call globe customer hotline for this matter211 using your globe mobile phone. free of charge. On our end, it was successfully loaded based on our system record as well as Globe Amax. thank you!

So there, it seems they can’t do much to help and that it is up to Globe to explain what had happened. I’ve already sent an email to them asking them what happened to my P300 load and asking to have it sent back to me. I only received a system generated message from them. Hopefully tomorrow I’d get an response from their customer support either through email or a phone call. I can’t access 211 right now since my prepaid credits is at 0. Go figure.

Update – January 11

I got back my load after Globe CS called me. :)

    OMG! :o
globe sucks right now dude… first was the “no-more-unlitxt” thing that made everyone want to transfer to another network. then they bring the promo back.. but everyone can’t register properly.. i was one of those people.. and when my registration was sent to 2870, i got a reply from globe that said i don’t have enough credits to register.. grrrr..

well anyway.. regarding this incident, i was really getting pissed off with globe when i keep on losing credits.. sometimes 5.. 20.. 30 pesos a day.. i just let it happen coz i thought it had to do something with the unlitxt promo.. that maybe i thought i’m still registered to the promo but kept on sending messages.. but there was this one time that me and my sister used the autoload service. we both loaded 25 pesos. she had credits remaining so she has 30+ and i have 25… that morning, when my sister checked her account, she has less than 20 pesos which is totally weird coz she didn’t text anyone. she didn’teven register for the unlitxt promo.. i told her maybe she has unsent messages in her outbox that were automatically sent when she loaded more credits.. and while she was checking her sent items and counting how many messages she really sent after loading, i was trying to register to the unlitxt promo. i quickly got a reply from globe saying that i am registered already and use unlitxt. so i tried to forward messages to important people.. in the middle of sending a loooong message, it said, “check operator services”.. and dude, was i pissed off.. i tried to call globe.. but got the same message you did..

dude, like what the fuck is that?! SERIOUSLY! shouldn’t it be that their customer service number be toll free? DUH????!!!

well anyway, since i badly needed to talk to a CSR, i loaded another 25 pesos.. and i told them my concern.. about the losing credits and also about their freaking customer service.. that it already sucked given the fact that you cannot call them if you do not have 20 pesos.. anyway… globe actually did a good thing and had me registered to unlitxt before the day ended.. and they also gave the exact amount of credits that my sister lost.. that was the good thing.. but i had to do a lot of follow up calls.. and a lot of explaining.. and yeah.. i had to load another 25 pesos just so i could call their freakin’ customer service..

they should really think about changin that ya knoeeee. :P

i’ve had some bad experiences with my load magically disappearing too, but not as bad as yours. sometimes i wish my husband will just give up on Globe already so we can both shift to other service providers. :-/

hello nika. Did you try to call customer service via 223/222? I am a globe and smart user. I never had the experience before on globe, more on smart pa nga. Sometimes it is caused by a glitch in their system. I once called the customer service of smart (as in it took me 45 minutes to wait) but they eventually restored the lost load. case to case basis din eh.

I hope it will turn out fine for you.

yeah, i experienced the ‘houdini’ load in smart especially when i am trying to connect to the internet outside manila. the 10 pesos per 30 min internet connection was charged as a 30 min call. eating up my entire 300 peso load! called smart, waited for a week – they returned only 100 pesos of my 300, they cant return the entire 300 because that is the only amount they are allowed to return regardless of the total load eaten up. grrr.. Experienced this 4x in my 2 smart sims. i guess we just have to be vigilant with this and we just have to be persistent that the network correct this through calling the CS (its the only way i get to have a long fone conversation for free anyway. hehehe).

Dang… that is a rip-off. Now i feel kinda bad that i got that free load from you… you think it’s connected somehow?

  6. akeii says:

hello! how long did it take for you to receive your i$send credits? been waiting since yesterday. by the way, i have a a verified but unconfirmed paypal address.

  7. Hi akeii! The i$end credits were sent immediately after I sent copies of my scanned/digital IDs to them since they said that the transaction was quite high (i ordered $15 i$end credits from them on mu first transaction). They do that to verify the identity of the sender. Everyone here in the Philippines have unconfirmed status, we can only be verified but we can’t confirm since only those in the US, UK and Canada have that option I think.

who knows globe hotline? damn it! is this a tactic of globe services?! are they making fool of us? we should get our money back. i always lost my load, im so pissed-off.

    Hello Guys,

If you need an eload and you want to purchase through a credit card(be sure its valid and had a visa logo on it) and you have a paypal account, visit my website http://www.globeload.net. By the way to clarify things,an eload loaded thru globe autoload max’s validity is 18 days. The maximum amount for loading is only php.150.00, if you requested for a php.300 load, doubling the amount,(two 150′s) it doesnt mean the expiration or validity becomes 30 to 60 days. It is still 18 days, it doesnt matter if you requested more than php.300. If you want a 30-60 days validity period, just buy Globe prepaid call and text card, available in local stores and do the scratch, load, and confirm thing. But if you wish CONVENIENCE,and from you PC’s and Laptops,if you ran out of load,.. just click the tabs and follow the Instruction details..,and “Voila”..even if you are in timbuktu, the opposite side of the world, your cellphones gonna be loaded bro.and you can now make a call and text to your dear loved ones.

I found this blog after having my 300 peso load magically disappear after–what, 3 text messages? I want my load back! 300 is still 300! and I’m in great need of their text messaging services.

I’ll try what you did. I’ll update if it works…

wow! this post is dated january 2008! and i’ve just experienced it lately….

    globe really sucks!

  12. hottag says:

it happened to me but different scenario… the good thing is globe credit back the lost load of my mobile…

globe is not really that bad. you just need to be persistent sa iyong complain. after all, most call centers work this way…

galit-galitan para mabigyan ng priority… ask for a supervisor, kung nagdadahilan at ayaw ipakiusap ang visor, sabihin mo kahit isang oras tayo sa phone willing akong maghintay basta maka-kausap lang ako ng visor… or pwede ding, sabihin mo sa visor mo, tawagan nya ako after 30mins… kapag walang tawag, tawagan mo sila uli… kapag nagpromise uli, tawagan mo uli kinabukasan… isang araw magugulat ka na lang na naibalik na sa account mo ang nawala mong load…

  13. Jhonny Cruise says:

5 out of 10 globe subscribers I know also experienced this problem. About three months ago (Dec 2008), my autoloadmax 20 expires after 3~5 days, but recently my load expires for less than a day. This blog was dated Jan 2008 and until now people are still encountering the same problem.

    which was sent correctly
but when i checked my load after 5 messages…

WHALAHHHHHHHHHHH in an instant my remaining load was 45 pesos…

another thing is my friend has a postpaid account with GLOBE and everytime UNTIL NOW she receives SPAM messages in her phone WHICH WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE…right!!!!!!!!!! BUT i think some magic is happening ….downloads being made, passwords sent, magic numbers appearing in her bill which were not made….

My gosh … i know you and other telecom companies are SWITCHING the way how filipinos communicate.
