Batanes
Where do you go for entertainment in San Diego? It would be quite good to know which places are good to visit there since we have some relatives there that I might visit just in case my Visa does get approved. Lol. Though I’m still thinking about it really hard. I haven’t visited much of the beautiful places we have here in the country so I’m thinking of doing that first before thinking of doing any out of the country vacations. I always wanted to try those really far places of the country like Batanes. i always loved travelogues that showed the place. It seemed so peaceful and relaxing. I definitely need some quiet time in pretty place like that. You know those places where you can really here the sounds of your surroundings. Unlike here in the metro where the sound of cars honking and beeping still occurs even if its the wee hours of the night already.

Hollow Vanity
Speaking of another Manhattan plastic surgery, isn’t it unusual that people nowadays are really into plastic or cosmetic surgery? Each year (months even) more technology and procedures are being found by the cosmetic surgery industry. It almost seems like everything about us is wrong. You nose needs fixing, your ears need a nip and tuck there, you’re chin’s too flabby, your thigh is so ugly, your lips need more pucker, and the list goes on. Since when did everyone become so imperfect that we want to change who we are?
No matter what changes you do on the outside it will never be enough if you’re worse than a rotten fish inside. No matter how hard you try to fix everything outside nothing will ever work because deep inside which is the foundation of oneself, everything is spiraling downward. Like being sucked in a whirlpool and you can’t do anything to keep everything together.
Once you’re hollow inside, the outside doesn’t matter.

Home TV Shopping…No Thanks.
Meh, I was watching some tv the other day and its really quite interesting to see the sudden spurt of home tv shopping networks that offer tons of products from weight loss products, acne scar skincare products even up to computers. >.>
Really starts to get a wee bit annoying since sometimes the products they post there are not that good in person. One of my Tito’s bought something there and since he didn’t trust those guys much, he opted for cash on delivery. It wasn’t a cheap item either so we waited and waited but they never came. Hah. Now that would be really annoying if we did pay them earlier. I don’t really believe those that demo the products on tv since sometimes it sounds too much a hype. Besides I prefer buying things offline especially if its a computer. I want to know if the specs are right instead of getting surprised when it been delivered already.

Know Your Nose.
So apart from the augmentation topics we had, we also got into discussing about the huge market in Beverly Hills, California revision rhinoplasty. It seems that in many cases it happens that a botched nose job naturally occurs in for some unfortunate people. Imagine spending so much to get your nose done only to get it undone after a few months. Ouch. Cosmetic surgeons it seemed now have an alternative client base. These are the ones whose nose jobs got botched the first time around (I do hope it is just the first time Lol.). There are really quite a lot of people paying to get their noses fixed after some other surgeon got it dislodged.
Good for the doctors, bad for the patients. It really is saddening that some people have to undergo the procedure again since they also have to pay for it again. Besides if it was me, it is highly unlikely that I’d go back to the same one who got my nose job botched. I can’t trust his expertise anymore so instead of availing the free post-fix he’ll offer, I’d rather sue him get my damages and find another doctor who is known to fix other doctors blunders.

Bust Matters.
I was talking with Kat the other day about the large amount of people undergoing breast augmentation Beverly Hills, California and it was quite interesting since we talked about some of the recent tv shows that feature them. It was interesting to see that those who have their breasts augmented were not only those interested to get it larger. There were individuals who undergo the surgery to reduce their bust size. As one of the patients who did the reduction procedure was interviewed she mentioned that the sheer weight of her bust made her uncomfortable. She had to wear a double sports bra to be able to work easily since it was starting to make her back hurt a lot. It really is interesting to see how women are affected by their bust sizes not just emotionally but also physically. Though some people want to attain a much larger bust to enhance their beauty or physique, there are other people who feel burdened by their large busts since it sometimes lead to health problems.

I want to go to Vegas too
A couple of my friends are headed to Vegas next month since they were planning to try the casinos there. Hah, they just got there and they’re planning to spend their money already. Lol. They were checking online hotel review sites to see which hotels in Las Vegas would be good to stay in during their 2 week vacation there. Maybe I should tell them to try the slots where people win lots of coins in. That would certainly be fun. ![]()

I Need New Glasses
Yes. I wear glasses. Being online and on the computer for more than 12 hours a day means I need one to protect my eyes and it helps ease my headaches. I was trying to see what are the new styles for glass frames these days when I saw one of the Best Thing Found: Zenni Optical who offers a huge selection of frames (heh, much better than my own optometrist). They offer Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses which is really way to cheap compared to my boring one that I got a couple of months ago which I broke yesterday. It really is aGreat Discovery: Zenni Optical maybe if they start a franchise here I can get some for myself.

Stretchy Stretchy…
Okay, its a bit annoying when I do lose some weight since I have stretch marks. I’ve been looking for a stretch mark cream for such a long time but I get discouraged to try them because many people say it doesn’t work. I know I should have been more careful not to scratch myself to prevent stretch marks but I just can’t help doing so sometimes. Lol. Besides, there is no use fretting about it now. Its not like feeling sorry nor annoyed at myself will help get those unsightly stretch marks I got for not being careful with my skin. I did some looking around the net to see what creams might be available to help diminish the marks a bit (if not completely heal and regenerate) or maybe lighten it a bit so it isn’t that noticeable. I saw someone mention revitol stretch mark cream though I’m not sure if that is available here in our country already. Does anyone know? Or maybe has anyone tried it already? Asian skin can be different compared to our western counterparts so I wanted to know if someone else here has experienced using it and if it did work. If it does, I can ask my aunt in the US to maybe grab one for me.

Blego (ebooktechie.com’s definition) - n. bloggers’ blogging ego
Blego (sandokatpalayok.com’s definition) n. a bloggers ego in relation to their blog and its actual significance in the blogosphere and the communities they’re part of
1. Do you know what your blog is really about, and you can write a one-sentence promotional material for it in a flash? - Sandok at Palayok is a place for loitering unclassified thoughts of a graduating college student who’s once again on leave from DLSU.
2. Do you join social networks to promote your blog? If yes, do you hope to find friends in these social networks and in the process get regular readers of your blog? - Not really. I only joined some social networks before because our block did and they invited me. I’m pretty asocial (at least that’s what Dad said when asked to give a one word description for each of his daughters. Lol.)
3. Do you or do you plan to join ranking sites that put your blog in competition with others for popularity? If yes, do you or do you plan to monitor your stats regularly? - Not really. I hate competition. I am not competitive in nature so I prefer to write what I want and not really care for ranking.
4. Do you tweak your blog often in accordance with the tips you get from blogging guides and gurus? If yes, list the bloggers you visit often to obtain these tips. - When I first started yes. I did every tweak I can find but after a few months I lost interest. Maybe I’ll do it again some other time.
5. Do you think of your next post even if you have just written a new one? If yes, list your inspirations for posting, and/or some routines that you go through before posting. - I don’t usually do, unless I have some really important topics I have to do (hehehe, you guys know what I mean). I can write 20 posts a day ranging from 80 words up to 300 word per entry but then my blog would be like a frenzy so I just do some ghost writing. Lol.
I’m tagging Jean and Kath. Lol. ![]()

Crowning Glory?
Recently, one of my Tito’s (sort if Uncle but not really) were experiencing thinning of hair and since he was quite young still he was getting frantic to find hair loss products that really deliver so he has been in the hunt for hair loss review sites to see what products were being offered and which are being highly recommended by previous users. One of the products he saw was provillus which is a Hair Regrowth Solution that apparently contains the only FDA-approved topical ingredient clinically proven to regrow hair. This parked his interest so he looked for more provillus review to check whether it works or not.
The other reviews he read were also very favorable so he is thinking of trying it out. He is also asking for some advices from his friends as well as some doctors to see if he can take those pills without any side effects to him since he’s also taking other medications at the moment. Hopefully if he ever decides to try it or any other hair loss product it really helps him get his hair back. Its one of the subjects he’s very touchy about. He really doesn’t like discussing his receding hairline so hopefully this time it works out for him.
