I see lots of people on our local channels have tattoos. These tattoo designs range from simple to complex, and even small to large ones. I haven’t tried tattoos at all, not even the henna ones. I guess its because my dad’s pretty conservative about these kinds of stuff so I never really tried them back then. I’m not planning on having them now either but they just look interesting especially when it looks so real.
I wonder how these people decide which tattoos to get. If they choose it for sentimental reasons or if they picked the design simply because it suited their fancy. I think tattoos are also quite used for lots of purpose today. Before it usually signified that you were a part of a group or an organizations. These days, they’re used for marketing especially on games where cheerleaders show a bit of skin. Both marketers and advertisers have learned to use it as another ingenious way of showing advertisement to their consumers.
P.S. I just remembered something we were told when we were little and we loved to buy those fake tattoos with candies from the small stores around the neighborhood. Our parents and the other adults used to tell us that these were drugged and if we did stick it in our skin, we’d be easily taken by the “man in the tricycle” who likes taking naughty and stubborn children away from their families…

when i was in my early twenties, at uso ang tatoo, a friend and i planned to got to olongapo for a tatoo. pero i backed out at the last minute, wala lang — di ko lang ma take talaga, hehe

I have two tatoos. Isa sa left leg ko at isa around my bellybutton. Dragon sa yung isa, gecko naman yun isa pa. Both tribal ang design. I decide to have a tattoo way back 1999. Then followed last 2005. I don’t know, iba ang feeling kasi.

i have a tattoo on my right forearm. Eye of Horus yung design at pinili ko yun specifically because it denotes “safety in travels” — tipong early warning against evil. lagi kasi akong bumi-biyahe noon because of my work.

@Ambo: Uy lizards. I knew someone dati, I think he had a gecko one din. Nice nga yun pagkagawa.

somekindayeah… pero shempre, wala pa ring tatalo sa mataimtim na dasal sa Diyos para matiwasay kang makarating sa iyong paroroonan
bonus na lang yung mga talisman at iba pang good-luck charms natin.
