***About the Blog***

This blog is entitled, Clay Pots and Wooden Spoons because of my domain name.

The word Sandok means Wooden Spoons and Palayok means Clay Pots when translated into English.

As I’ve said in my earlier post, “How did you come up with your blogs title“,

“I used that because I remember when I was little our grandmothers and our friends’ grandmothers use them in cooking using chopped wood as the fire source. Somehow food cooked on them taste differently and much much better than the ones we do now using brass and steel pots and electric stoves and ranges. Also I was thinking it symbolizes what my website aims, to feed people’s minds about Filipino culture and their lifestyle, to enable them to taste and sample our dishes through our recipes and to show them the beautiful places and people that we have in our country.

So this is my own home on the internet. Where my experiences are shared, in hopes that it can help some other soul whose lurking may learn from it and be able to see how my journey in life molds me into the person that is uniquely me. This is my haven, where my travels and adventures from day to day will be written and reflected upon. Where my random thoughts, ideas and rants will be noted and discussed, to gain insights I don’t immediately get when the events first happened. This is where my favorite snapshots and recipes of life and living will be collected.

So keep reading and join me as I go through my ups and downs as I take the long journey of finding myself and my purpose. I invite you to come and join me in my journey.

We might discover great things together. :)
